Bristol Art Book Event (BABE) 2022
A delegation of Scandinavian artists visited the Bristol Art Book Event in April 2022.
Fredrik Rysjedal represented Pamflett alongside Bergen-based Imi Maufe from Codex Polaris and Kurt Johannessen. The Bristol Art Book Event took place on the Bower Ashton campus at the University of the West of England (UWE).
Unfortunately, Pamflett's luggage was delayed at Schiphol Airport, turning the trip into a networking-focused visit. Always keep some copies in the hand luggage! Still, it was a valuable experience for all the Scandinavian artists. Imi Maufe, who previously studied in Bristol, gave us a guided tour of both the campus and the city, creating a more personal and engaging atmosphere than usual at such events.
Because the fair was held on campus, visitors could observe artists at work in the print studios. Collectors and librarians were also offered guided tours of the fair by the organizers, which added an extra layer of depth and context to the event.
